What is required to become an Equipment Specialist:
To earn the PADI Equipment Specialist certification, you must be at least 10 years old, certified as a PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Junior Open Water Diver, or have a qualifying, entry-level certification through another training organization.
The Equipment Specialist Course consists of two simple steps:
- Step One: Knowledge Development (E-Learning) During this step (At your own pace) you will complete the PADI interactive E-learning online course. This course will guide you towards expanding on your scuba diving knowledge.
- Step Two: Knowledge Development (Classroom) During this step you will meet with your dive instructor in a classroom setting to review information and get hands on practice with equipment.
